Marcus Kleveland – First Quad Cork in in competition history

Snowboard Pro Marcus Kleveland first Quad Cork

First quad cork in competition history helps Kleveland to X Games silver.

Records were broken on the second day of X Games action in Aspen with the Men’s Snowboard Big Air final taking centre stage. Max Parrot of Canada successfully defended his title after stiff competition from Marcus Kleveland and Mark McMorris. Kleveland, the youngest competitor in the field, took the lead with the quad cork only to see Parrot respond with history of his own by landing the first ever competition quadruple underflip.

Parrot’s combined score of 83 edged Kleveland by just one point, with X Games legend McMorris picking up his 13th medal after a score of 73.
Attention for the men now turns to Sunday for the Slopestyle competition where McMorris has won gold on four of the last five occasions.
